Who we are

Lirnoa is a company research service operated from The Hague, the Netherlands. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Slack application and related services.

What data we collect

When you install and use Lirnoa, we collect:

• Slack workspace information: Your workspace ID, team name, and the installing user's Slack user ID. This is required for the Slack integration to function.
• Query data: The domains and company names you ask Lirnoa to check, along with timestamps. We use this to deliver research reports and improve our service.
• Usage data: Aggregate usage statistics such as number of checks performed. We do not track individual Slack messages or conversations.

What data we do NOT collect

• We do not read, store, or process your Slack messages, files, or conversations.
• We do not collect personal data about your Slack workspace members.
• We do not access any Slack channels, DMs, or threads beyond responding to explicit /lirnoa commands.

How we use company data

When you request a company research report, Lirnoa queries publicly available data sources including company registers, domain registrars (WHOIS), SSL certificate authorities, LinkedIn public profiles, and website content. All of this data is publicly available and we do not access any non-public information.

Research results may be cached temporarily to improve performance for repeated queries. Cached data is automatically purged after 30 days.

Data hosting and security

All data is hosted in the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and logged.

Third-party services

Lirnoa uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Slack API: For receiving commands and delivering results within your workspace.
• Cloud hosting provider (EU region): For running our application and storing data.
• Public data APIs: Including company registers, WHOIS services, and other public data sources for generating reports.

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data retention

Query data (domains checked and reports generated) is retained for the duration of your active subscription to provide you with research history. Upon account deletion or uninstallation of the Slack app, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your rights (GDPR)

As a company based in the EU, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation. You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about your workspace
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured format

Cookies

The Lirnoa website uses only essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify affected users through our Slack app or by email. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
